That's right, after ignoring farmworkers for so long, Chipotle is now
claiming it will change course but is still unwilling to take the
steps to ensure a workable solution that includes farmworkers
themselves in the protection of their own rights. Read the CIW's

Sunday, October 5th:
1pm - Protest at the first ever Chipotle restaurant, 1644 Evans Ave
(near DU, west of University)
5pm - Celebration, Potluck and Art Making at Sixth Ave United Church
of Christ, 3250 E 6th Ave (west of Colorado). Bring food to share and
a musical instrument if you play.
Monday, October 6th:
Starting 7am through Noon Tuesday - Plantón/Encampment outside
Chipotle HQ, 1543 Wazee St. in downtown Denver: How much longer must
farmworkers wait for Chipotle to take responsibility for the human
rights abuses in its tomato supply chain? Join us for the entire
encampment, pass by to offer your support, or come out for two major
events:
Noon - Delivery of 85,000+ petition signatures to Chipotle HQ
6:30pm - Candlelight Vigil and Rally outside Chipotle HQ.
Also 4pm - Presentation at University of Denver, Craig Hall Community Room
4:30 - Presentation at Regis University on "the Quad."
8pm - "Fair Food & Farmworker Justice: Expanding the Horizons of
Sustainable Agriculture" presentation and discussion with the CIW at
the CU Boulder campus, CHEM room 140
Tuesday, October 7th:
Morning til Noon - Plantón outside Chipotle HQ continues.
8-9:30am & 10-11:30am: "The Continuing Movement for Farmworker
Justice" discussion with the CIW at Tivioli Student Union
Multicultural Lounge on Auraria Campus.
Noon - Closing Ceremony: be there as farmworkers bring this phase of
struggle to a close and vow to keep fighting as the Chipocracy tour
leaves Denver.
