Sorry, I wasnt as clear as I could have been.... I'll chalk it up to my
health

The original IndyMedia sites were early or pre-blog era ... and pushed the
boundaries.

A number of the IndyMedia sites are looking to similarly push their
platforms to the next level of utility .... (that was the next-generation
point - next generation for them)

Their organization, is as you mention, very flat ... they are a network, and
that is very intentional.  They are already next generaion in that regard :)


So, now, we have to think what it means to partner with networks ... in some
cases it just means individual actions... I post to the local indymedia
sites when I get a chance ... and I recommend you all do the same.
