Videographers needed to tape Left Forum 2009!

As you have heard from us several times now, this year at Left Forum we have 600 speakers on 200 panels, which means that at any one time there will be 25-28 panels happening concurrently.

In response to the necessity of scheduling so many events at once, we want to videotape as many panels as possible. We hope to put footage on youtube and also on our website, and thus create a dialogue that extends beyond the short three days of the conference itself. To accomplish this we need a small army of volunteers with cameras to videotape the events. We extend this call both to professional journalists who may wish to utilize Left Forum content for their programs and to volunteers who would like to gain free admission to the conference.

If you want to volunteer at the conference this year and have access to a video camera, please get in touch with us! Working as a videographer is a great way to volunteer for admission because you don't have to miss any of the panel sessions. If we have enough volunteers working on this project, you will be able to view online at a later point any events you didn't get a chance to see during the actual event.

If you support the critical exchange of ideas that Left Forum has generated in the past, please join us in making these dialogues widely available to people who cannot attend! Interested videographers can email volunteer@leftforum.org
