Breaking: Blagojevich found guilty of lying to FBI, mistrial declared on 23 other counts 17 Aug 2010 A federal jury has found former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich (D) guilty of the charge of lying to the FBI. A mistrial has been declared in the other twenty-three charges against him. The penalty for lying to the FBI carries a possible five-year prison sentence and a $250,000 fine. The jury has been 'deeply divided.' The prosecution has asserted that they will 'absolutely retry' Blagojevich on the other twenty-three charges. [This story will be updated on the CLG site.]
