Swedish rape warrant for Wikileaks' Assange cancelled 21 Aug 2010 Swedish authorities have cancelled an arrest warrant for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange on accusations of rape and molestation. The Swedish Prosecution Authority website said the chief prosecutor had come to the decision that Mr Assange was not suspected of rape. The warrant was issued late on Friday. Wikileaks, which has been criticised for leaking Afghan war documents, had quoted Mr Assange as saying the charges were "without basis".

Five US-led troops killed in Afghanistan 21 Aug 2010 Five US-led troops have been killed in Afghanistan over the past 24 hours as the Taliban step up their attacks against foreign forces in the country. Two NATO soldiers died in separate militant attacks in southern Afghanistan on Saturday, the US-led military alliance said without disclosing the nationality of the soldiers or the exact location of the incident. Three soldiers were killed and two others were injured in Uruzgan Province also on Friday.
