Hello S17 people,

I hope you're ready for a rocking birthday celebration for our beloved
occupy movement!

There is a lot of information from OWS conference calls and the NE
Spokescouncil but I'll try to keep this brief. Please help me distribute
this information as widely as possible to anyone you know who may be
thinking about coming down to NYC next weekend.

Buses: The buses will leave from South Station and drop off at the
Brooklyn convergence space. One will leave at 6 pm on Friday and a
second bus will leave at 9 am on Saturday. Returning the buses will
leave on Monday at 7 pm and Tuesday at 10 am. If people are not able to
stay for Monday, you can ride down to Boston on the bus and, if
necessary, have your return bus ticket subsidized.

The the maximum number of people that can get seats in the buses is 114.
At last check we have 80 signed up at s17.occupyboston.org but that
could change very quickly. We are going to give priority on the buses to
people that have signed up on the website so if you plan on riding the
bus, sign up soon! There will be a confirmation link sent out in the
next day or so to everyone that is signed up, which will allow you to
reserve spots on specific buses or request a bus ticket.

We are going to ask people to pay what they can to defray the cost to
Occupy Boston. The cost per person, per leg of the trip is ~$18. If you
can't afford to contribute anything, that is perfectly alright :-)

On the bus we will get a brief "know your rights" type legal training
From a member of the OB legal support group, as well as have the
opportunity to fill out an arrestee intake form to help with jail
support. Will also make sure everybody knows about the New England
Celly, a moderated text loop to quickly distribute vital information
about the buses and other developments.

You don't have to be riding the bus or wait until Friday/Saturday to
join the celly.*Text @s17bostonbus to 23559* to join. You may also
consider joining OWS's celly loop @s17nyc to get updates from them.
Also, they would appreciate it if everyone who will be there would
register at s17nyc.org. There is also a facebook page
(http://www.facebook.com/S17BostonBus)

S17 funding WG, which is in charge of coordination of transportation and
disbursement of funds is meeting this Monday at City Place at 6. Of
course it is public and you are welcome to come.

Food: At last report, OWS has plans to feed at least 1500 people, which
means you should probably not depend on them for all of your food for
the weekend. OB food WG has some modest funds that may be available as
well.

There is a group from Boston that is planning on doing street theater
about debt in NYC on Saturday and Sunday. They are meeting at 3 pm at
the puppeteer's cooperative workshop in the basement of Emmanuel Church
on Newbury St on Tuesday. You enter from the alley just north of Newbury
St off of Arlington St.

We will hopefully have custom T-shirts as well. The plan is to print on
Wednesday afternoon / evening and we have to procure shirts (probably at
Garment district) before then. If you want to help make this happen,
contact myself or Jose B (sunnyblueskyrocks at gmail.com).

Finally, check out these links for updated info about the schedule of
events for the weekend and black Monday:
