Thank you! Support Left Forum's next steps
Earlier this year, the self-sacrificing protest of a Tunisian street vendor
set off a wave of rebellions that continues to engulf the Middle East. Here
in the U.S., labor organizers and students at the University of Wisconsin
sparked a movement against a right-wing governor's attack on unions. And
amidst these inspiring uprisings, from the Middle East to the Midwest, 4,000
leftists, radicals, and progressives attended the largest ever gathering of
the Left Forum.

The conference included over 300 panels, workshops and events covering a
wide range of critical topics, debates and organizing processes. On site at
Pace University, the enthusiasm was high, with many new faces in attendance.
We heard from activists and scholars from around the world and explored new
thinking about the meaning of solidarity. The conference was covered by over
200 reporters from six continents and dozens of countries—including Iran,
Finland, Spain, Egypt, Belgium, and Haiti. Free Speech

"Lenin's Marxism" "Environmental Emergency: Dialogue and Exchange"
As a growing space for dialogue, debate, and movement building, Left Forum
is sustained by the panel organizers and speakers who commit to developing
its programmatic forms many months before the conference. We thank you so
much for your time, your ideas, and your commitment. And to the many
participants, Left Forum is energized by you—as well as the hundreds of
volunteers and the Pace University community who make the operation of this
event possible. We also thank our international media allies who amplify the
gathering’s presence to the rest of the world.
"Youth of Color Organizing in NYC" "How to Achieve
Solidarity in the Electoral Arena"
But we must ask you for more. Left Forum cannot be sustained, and certainly
cannot build upon the great achievements of this year’s conference without
your active participation. In the coming weeks, we will send out a
questionnaire so you can help evaluate the Forum. Also, contributions and
volunteer help are vital to sustain this project. Left Forum is a community
project. Furthermore, we raise no money from corporations or foundations. It
is your admission fees and contributions that pay for the conference each
year, and enable us to survive. Please help us get through the financial
challenges to begin the work to make next year's conference even better.
In appreciation and solidarity,*
