Dear Friends,
This year's Left Forum, held March 16 to March 18 at Pace University, will
be our largest conference ever, with about 1,400 panelist/speakers and 400
panels.
With speakers including Michael Moore, Cornel West, Medea Benjamin, Michael
Klare, Barbara Ehrenreich, M1 of Dead Prez, Occupy poets, Occupy think tank
and Occupy organizers from around the country coming we expect sizable
crowds. And we really need a helping hand.
Much of the Left Forum is self organized and produced mainly through
in-kind support and volunteerism. And while the speakers and panel
organizers contribute all their time and energy towards making the panels
happen, the success of the conference depends upon the willingness of the
larger community to step in when the need arise.
We especially need people to help with the registration process; we need
folks to help direct conference attendees to the hundreds of panels, the
plenary sessions and the book exhibits. We also need help with media, and
to anyone who has or knows people with video recorders, please consider
contacting them and/or helping by recording two sessions.
Signing up for one shift does of course get you free entry into the
conference, but we hope that you can do more. Signing up for two shifts
creates the consistency that is immeasurably helpful to both the organizers
and to the conference as a whole. Please note that we need all those who
sign up to meet their commitments, and to inform us at least three days us
in advance if that is not possible.

Thank you in advance for helping make the Left Forum possible. Please feel
free to forward and pass this on to anyone you think may be interested. Please
help us in bringing these critical voices to the public!
